Collectively, the principals of SFDCO have over fifty years of direct real estate experience, both locally and internationally. Lessons learned are consistently applied to new developments, as well as to the management of the existing portfolio.
Long-Term Focus
We have developed and managed our projects for decades. One project, built by a predecessor company, has been operated by members of the Frankel Family since 1949.

Trademark Projects
Somerset is a large mixed-use planned development that included: - The Somerset Collection (south). Somerset mall (south) is a 300,000 square foot highend retail mall featuring department stores such as Nieman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue.
- Somerset Apartments. A multifamily development of over 2,200 units.
- Somerset Place and Somerset Inn, includes over 900,000 square feet of office and a 250 room high-rise hotel.
Stuart Frankel Development Company played an active roll in the original development, management and ownership of this dynamic and exciting project.Oakland Park is a 150 acre brownfield redevelopment featuring light industrial / warehouse distribution facilities. For almost a century, this site served as the world headquarters of Chrysler automotive in Highland Park, MI. This brownfield site has now been transformed in to a premiere industrial park boasting, all recently built, state of the art facilities for manufacturing and distribution applications. All buildings are 32’ foot clear, precast concrete with plenty of docks and parking for any requirement. Oakland Park is comprised of approximately 1.5M square feet across 8 facilities with another 1M square feet of potential development. This park provides excellent access to I-75 and the Davison Freeway. Build to Suit opportunities are available.
Victor Parkway is strategically positioned in Livonia’s vibrant I-275 corridor, the two-story Victor Corporate Park provides 88,000 square feet of premium office space. Open floor plates are easily divisible to 3,000 square feet, combined with 9’ and 10’ ceiling height, provide maximum flexibility for a range of uses, including prototype development and display space. Pinnacle Park is Phase I of Detroit’s Aerotropolis; a planned business and technology park in Wayne County, centered around the Detroit Metropolitan Airport. What will ultimately become a several thousand acre development, will begin with this Pinnacle Park. Stuart Frankel Development Co. is first developer to enter into this public/private partnership with Wayne County. Development planning is well underway for this exciting new project.
